Ala & Andy – OTOK

Odpowiada nam ta cisza i niespieszne życie w izolacji.

I assume that such a Croatian island is a completely different creature after the season than it is during the summer. Now that the hotel complexes, apartments and pubs are all closed, the otok has fallen asleep, and when it wakes up, it’s probably with the roar of visitors on scooters, dancing in disco clubs or drinking in beach bars.

The only two places with a working kitchen can be found in Supetar, where we are living. No matter where you go: to Bol with is famous beach in a strange(?) shape, or to Sumartin with its not so busy ferry terminal, or Sutivan and Splitska that are in an easy reach of the bike – everywhere you can sit for coffee, nut liquor or beer, but you can’t order something to eat in principle.

We are enjoying this peaceful and unhurried life in isolation. You don’t have to lock yourself up in the hermitage of Blaca, whose last occupant was a recognized astronomer and probably beyond tranquility he also appreciated the very dark nights.
